All concentration programs (i.e. CXs) in KFUPM require FOUR courses. Any selected CX program, its four courses are mapped to:
COE Electives COE 4xx and Technical/Free electives are listed on this page:
An Islamic/Arabic elective is any IAS 100-499 course that is not required.
A General studies elective is any GS 100-499 course that is not required.
The term "Technical" elective is used for the old COE program, while the new COE program uses the term "Free". The above link lists these Technical/Free electives.

COE OLD Program Electives (Summer Training Option)
If a CX is selected, the remaining electives are as follows:
COE OLD Program Electives (Cooperative Work Option)
With this option, the student cannot select a CX program.
COE NEW Program Electives (Summer Training Option)
If a CX is selected, the remaining electives are as follows:
COE NEW Program Electives (Internship Option)
With this option, the student cannot select a CX program. The term "Internship" and "Cooperative work" mean the same thing for the new program.
